Summary
The party is a rag-tag group from all over Forgotten Realms, looking for work in a small town named Saltmarsh. One of the party's leaders is named CuNyx (pronounced Suu-nix). When she was a young woman she had received a letter from an Uncle she knew little of:

When the party gets to Saltmarsh, they quickly realize the town is upturned with fighting and drunkenness. What had been renowned for a rich town of merchants, has appeared to become a cesspool of debauchery. A drunken red haired dwarf named
Keb is thrown out of a bar named 'The Wicked Goat' and the party enters.
Inside the bar the team quickly picks a fight with a drunk barfly and are ordered to leave! Before they depart, one party member asked if anyone has information about the house of
Old Pappi the Alchemist? A number of people look over when the name is spoken, and a old lady comes over, offering to escort the party to the house for 2 gold pieces!
They arrive at the house 4 miles east of Saltmarsh, as soon as the house is in site the old woman gets her second gold piece and quickly departs.
The party starts to investigate the house, realizing a lot of mean creatures have taken hold in some of the rooms. But then they find a weird little gnome named Ned that had tied himself up to pretend to be part of the party?!? He says that a merchant named
Sanbalet had hired him to try to become part of the party and sabotage the party into wanting to leave the house terrified. The party finally finishes of
Ned by having him be eaten alive by a swarm of spiders...
